Pete Schroeder was appointed to the Fair Oaks Cemetery Board of Trustees by Supervisor Susan Peters.

Carolyn Flood

Vice – Chairman

Carolyn Flood originally served on the Board of Trustees of the Fair Oaks Cemetery District from 1993 to 1996 when she was appointed by Supervisor David Cox.  She returned to the Board when Supervisor Roberta MacGlashan reappointed her in April of 2006 followed by Supervisor Susan Peters and Supervisor Richard Desmond reappointing her.  During her time on the Board, she represented the Cemetery District when she served on the LAFCo Special District Advisory Committee.  She has been Vice Chairman of the Board and has served on the Investment Committee. In addition, she assists in updating the various manuals that govern the District: the By-Laws, the Policy and Procedures Manual, the Safety Manual, and the Employee Handbook.  

Carolyn has been a resident of Fair Oaks since 1975. She is a graduate of Fresno State College where she completed her requirements for a Lifetime Teaching Credential in Elementary Education.  She retired in 2001 from the Folsom Cordova Unified School District after a teaching career of 33 years.  She has experience within the field of acting, modeling, commercial print, and voice-overs.  She currently volunteers her time with Faith Episcopal Church, the homeowner’s association of the community where she resides, the Foundation for Climate Restoration, and the Elders Action Network.  She enjoys playing Bridge, Mah-Jongg, and spending time with family and friends.

Don Neufeld

I grew up in the Midwest and moved to California in 1959. 
I was married to my wife, Patricia in 1962.
I was employed at various locations that facilitated my attendance at various regional Junior colleges.  I graduated from California State University Fresno in 1975. I moved to various regions of California for purposes of employment advancement, those regions were in Fresno, southern California, Stockton, and Fair Oaks. My employment experience encompasses the following:
As a Public Accountant delivered financial accounting and tax services to a diverse range of clients consisting of individuals, corporations, Partnerships, and Nonprofit entities.
Those responsibilities included financial audits, tax preparation, tax representation.
As a senior accountant for publicly held bank; prepared regulatory reports and performed complex financial analysis for financial reporting.
My hobbies and interests include the following:
Home landscaping, residential remodeling, blacksmithing, and classic auto restoration.

John Oldham

Board member

John Oldham, who joined the Fair Oaks Cemetery Board in May 2025, has extensive experience working with local community and state government organizations. Since 2020, he has also sat on the board of directors for the Fair Oaks Chamber of Commerce in both a director and executive role.  He recently retired from the California Department of Justice, where he was a Property Controller since 2011 for both the Bureau of Firearms and the Bureau of Forensic Services DNA lab. Prior to his state employment he worked as a service technician in the HVAC/Refrigeration industry, and owned his own pet supply and safety product manufacturing company. All of the foregoing has provided John with a wealth of knowledge and experience that is welcome on the Cemetery Board.
